A One Day National Level Workshop on "TRENDS AND DESIGNS IN EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGIES (TDET 2K15)" organized by Department of Electronics & Communication Engineers Association on 14th March 2015.
An embedded system is more than the electronics as most people perceive it. Its important characteristics are low-power, real-time responsiveness, low thermal dissipation, small physical form factor/footprint, low radiation/emission, ruggedness in design and impervious to external radiations etc
Embedded systems are more than part of human life. For instance, one cannot imagine life without mobile phones for personal communication. Its presence is virtually unavoidable in almost all facets of human endeavor. The main objective of this workshop is to impart a thorough theoretical introduction in certain key areas of embedded systems along with various programming tools.
The program was inaugurated by our guest speaker Mr. P.SAI KRISHNA, Hyderabad and our principal Prof Vikram. P.SAI KRISHNA insisted on the importance of self-confidence which is the key for success in everyone life and given tips on how to improve self-confidence within themselves. He told to increase the capacity of knowledge sharing and communication within the students. The Chief Guest delivered his speech on "Recent Trends in Embedded Technologies “which was an everlasting one on the minds of the students. The programme ended up with vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.
A One Day National Level Workshop on “EMERGING TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS (ETCEPS)” organized by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Association on 7th February 2015.
The objective of the workshop is to bring focus areas of technology development that aim to take renewable energy into the main stream. To see the evolution of power systems during the years relating to the trends and the new technologies to be applied relating to the challenges. Policy preferences in favor of renewable energy that would accelerate this process shall also be discussed. The workshop would be largely addressed by researchers and professionals in the field and shall be tailor made for utilities, industries, students and users of electricity.
The program was inaugurated by our guest Sri S.VAMSI KRISHNA, Hyderabad and our principal Prof Vikram. S.VAMSI KRISHNA has many years experience in teaching industry. He published Research and Technical articles in various International Journals and Conferences.
A one day national level workshop on “Cloud Computing & Recent Advancements (CCRA 2K15)” organized by department of Computer Science Engineers Association on 28th February 2015.
The workshop on Cloud Computing aims to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, students and working engineers in the field of Cloud Computing. Each day, our lives become more dependent on ‘Cloud Computing’, Cloud computing is a recently evolved computing terminology or metaphor based on utility and consumption of computing resources. The present availability of high-capacity networks, low-cost computers and storage devices as well as the widespread adoption of hardware virtualization, service-oriented architecture. This workshop will provide the opportunities to flourish the knowledge and to pursue research in this area.
The program was inaugurated by our guest Prof.Dr.Amjan Shaik and our principal Prof Vikram.Prof.Dr.Amjan Shaik, Dynamic Academician and Administrator, having 18 Years experience in industry and teaching. He published more than 50 Research and Technical articles in various International Journals and Conferences. He served as a Principal, BOS Member, and Convener for various conferences and workshops.
Two- days national level workshop on “INFORMATION & CYBER SECURITY” (ETHICAL HACKING) Organized by department of Electronics & Communication Engineers Association.
Information & Cyber Security is the practice of defending information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction. This Workshop aims to learn the professional concepts of hacking and helps to build career in information security. This Workshop has provided more practical and hands-on experience. It provides the opportunities to flourish the knowledge and to pursue research in this area.
The program was inaugurated by Prof Vikram principal and our guest Pradeep Kumar currently serves as a Security Analyst in the Technical Assessment team of FLS. His work mainly focuses on conducting Security Audits, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing for FLS premier Clients. He has also handled some of the unique Projects at IIS over the past two years like Social Engineering, Wireless Network Assessments and WAP Service Testing. KIOS environment audit. He possesses strong analytical Skills and likes to himself involved in learning new attack vectors, tools and technologies, which allow him to conduct in-depth testing of during a penetration testing exercising his free time, he likes to research on advance topics like Malware Analysis and Exploit Development. He is excellent problem solver.
One- day national level workshop on “Principles of Power Quality” Organized by department of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Association
The objective of the workshop is to focus on challenges facing India in terms of power quality and its self sufficiency by emphasizing the greatest source being conventional and economic conservation. Latest monitoring techniques will be presented by both academic and industrial experts in order to create awareness and action to achieve results for saving the nation by energy conservation and consequent improvement in power quality and supply. All in all, at the conclusion of the workshop, one could enhance consolidation of electric power, energy and its quality in real life situations such as industries, institutions, commercial establishments and government. NIST will endeavor to render all possible assistance to any individual or group wishing to adopt the workshop theme in their environment

He did his Ph.D in Power Systems Reliability from I.I.T. Delhi. He has been honored with State Award as the Best Teacher, from Government A.P., for the year 2010, Gaurav Award for outstanding service achievements and contributions in the year 2011 and with a life time achievement award "Rayalaseema Vidhya Rathna" from Swami Art Creations, Proddatur in the year 2012. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and Referee of an International Journal "IEEE Transactions on Reliability". He is Elected as Fellow of Institute of Engineers (India) and a Life Member of ISTE, ISPE, SSI. He has served as Head(Dept. of EEE), Vice-Principal and Principal of JNTUACE, Anantapur; Director i/c Foreign Affairs & Alumni Matters, JNTUA; Registrar, JNTUA.

He did his Intermediate from APRJC, NagarjunaSagar, in 1988, B.E (CSE) From Osmania University college of Engineering, Hyderabad, in 1992,M.tech from Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU),New Delhi, in 1994 and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, in 2003.He has been conferred CSI Chapter patron Award 2010-11, Shining Image of India Award 2011, Seva Chakra Puraskar 2011,Bharat Jyoti Award 2010, Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 2010, best Citizen of India 2010 Award ,Life time Achievement gold medal Award 2010, Rashtriya Vidya Saraswathi Puraskar 2010,Eminent Educationist Award 2010 and Certificates of Excellence for Outstanding Services, Achievements, contributions, Meritorious Services, Outstanding Performance and Remarkable Role in the field of Education and service to the Nation ,He has been listed as One among the Top three faculty in JNTU Hyderabad, made by Out Look Survey for the Year 2008.
A National level WORKSHOP on “EMBEDDED SYSTEMS” Organized with the department of Electronics & Communication Engineers Association.
Each day, our lives become more dependent on “embedded systems”, digital information technology that is embedded in our environment. This includes not only safety-critical applications such as automotive devices and controls, railways, aircraft, aerospace and medical devices, but also communications like ‘mobile worlds’ and ‘e-worlds’, the ‘smart’ home. This workshop has provided the opportunities to flourish the knowledge and to pursue research in this area.
The program was inaugurated by Prof Vikram principal and our guest Dr. K.Soundara Rajan born at Tirupati and graduated in electronics and communication engineering from S.V. University. He did his M.Tech from JNTU College of engineering Kakinada. He received PhD from IIT. Roorkhee. He joined JNTU college engineering, Ananthapuramu as Assistant Professor raised to the level of Principal, later on after the formation of JNTU, Anatapur he became founding rector and became OSD to VC before super annuation. He was serving the University for more than 30 years. He was awarded as a best teacher by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and recognized as Intellectual persons of the World by an organization from U.K. He was actively involved in professional organizations like NAFEN, IACSIT, IAENG, ISTE etc., He published more than 60 international journals and he produced 12 PhD’s under his tenure. Motivating young researchers and guiding talented minds in right direction. His research area of interest includes embedded Systems, image and signal processing, Architectures and Real time operating Systems. Students of engineering college have always been interested in his lecturers.

He has more than 32 years of experience in teaching and research. His current area of research includes Alternate fuels for an IC Engines, Combustion of fuels, and Machining of composite materials. He has published international journals 44 and national journals 100.He also attended many conferences 44 international and 100 national.
