Narayanadri Polytechnic Premier League (NPPL)
The Narayanadri Polytechnic Premier League (NPPL) is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament, founded in 2015 by the NARAYANADRI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. It consists of a number of teams comes under Rajampet Zonal, and is held in our college every annual.
The NPPL is the most interesting league in the college and in Rajampet Zone and is also known for its success. In 2015, the NPPL became the first sporting event to be conducted for polytechnic colleges.
The NPPL is currently supervised by NIST Physical Director, who serves as the League's coordinator since its first season.
Some of the team composition rules are:
- A minimum squad strength of 14 players plus one coach.
- The participants/team should report before the respective game/event in-charge 15 minutes prior to the game/event and the presence of the captain of the event is a must and if not they will be disqualified and the opposite team will be declared as winner.
- Umpire decision is final and the players are strictly instructed to maintain discipline with no arguments. If any in-discipline is noticed suitable action will be initiated against the participant/team besides declaring the opponent team as winner.
- The proposed dress code for the outdoor game/event is White T-Shirt with collared, track pant & shoes. No deviation will be entertained in any case.
- The proposed dress code only at the time of event/game.
- Umpires will give suitable directions at the time of TOSS.
The Second season of NPPL was sponsored by Smt & Sri AMBATI SESHAREDDY & JAYALAKSHUMMA EDUCATIONAL TRUST. The inaugural season of the tournament took place on 22nd August in NIST.
